My daughter is 8.5 years old, tall and slim. I think a medium would be the perfect fit? But she can get away with wearing a big dress and having room to grow next year. The tie is a bit long for her but I suspect next year it will be perfect. She is definitely between medium and large. We have a big field! So we are happy and she loves it.
