I am 53 years old and have worn many sandals of this type which are generally good for the feet although lacking in high fashion... Keen, Merrell, Birkenstock, Teva, Earth, Dansko⦠I wear most shoes in size 9.5, Dansko 41, Birkenstock 40. 9 fit perfectly. Ecco has such a good reputation and every review of the best walking or hiking sandals pointed to Ecco. The construction is well made and the sole offers sufficient support. What I didn't expect and didn't happen with the other sandal brands I mentioned above: insane amounts of blisters. The blisters were so big I had to buy moleskin and cut 1.5 to 3 inch strips to cover the areas of the foot where the blisters formed, even if I only want to walk on level ground for an hour . I also can't wear sandals without moleskin stripes on my feet. I thought I would get better grip than my Keen sandals and considering the price of these Eccos I am very disappointed. , Who knows. I hope you have a better experience than me. I go back to my quinces.
