I have been using Bum Boosa wipes for two years and I really like them. I recently received my usual suitcase order and upon opening the box I immediately noticed a difference in the packaging. Now the big deal, just a change in appearance. But as soon as I opened the package, other differences became apparent. First, the wonderful citrus flavor I was used to was gone. Now they smell more "perfumed" and not as natural, fresh and invigorating. Based on this, I checked the ingredients and compared them to old and new wipes. The ingredients have changed. Here's a comparison: Old Wipeswatertocopherol (Vitamin E) Vegetable Glycerin Lavandula Augustifolia (Lavender) Oilcitrus sinensis (Sward Orange) Barbadensis (Organic Aloe Vera) Leafy Sorbatriensioterioaal-einifolysiol. (Sweet Orange) Oil Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe Vera) Marigold Extract Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E) Potassium Sorbate Sodium Benzoate Citric Acid The biggest difference in the ingredients is the presence of Polysorbate 20. It's much higher on the new wipes ingredient list, which means more of which is included in the formula. I noticed. I assume that the manufacturer changed this for cost reasons. The old towels cleaned and refreshed beautifully without leaving my daughter's diaper area too wet or soapy. New napkins are a different story. They leave behind more soap residue and moisture. Not that it lathers or anything, but I can definitely tell a difference. The new wipes also have calendula which is a great addition. Another difference I've noticed between the two is the dosage. The old wipes were hard to get out of the packaging (they weren't "tied" like most, so you had to dig around to pull them out one at a time). New napkins are the opposite extremes! You can't just pull one out! They all come and come! You need two hands to separate one napkin from another. Not a big problem, just noticed. In fact, I preferred rummaging around with old towels rather than coming out with a flood of towels at once. I am still happy with the Bum Boosa wipes and feel they are a lot better than most on the market but I really hope they go back to the old formula. At the same time, I can try some other brands for comparison. I hope this information will help other "product conscious" parents in their search for the best wipes.
