With these 3 x 120mm. Fan unit, programmable and thermostatic controls are very strong, very desirable selling points. It replaced a "Cooler Guys" dual 120mm fan (which I had to build maybe 3 years ago) that was manually controlled with a small pot. There were some fingers crossed as to which setting would work best. Full speed was loud, around 55+ dB on my SPL meter. The AVR is only about 12+ feet but I measured the SPL difference. This unit operates 3-5dB less with the same racquet configuration, even with the amps and AVR running together. Turn off the light after setting. You've got more cooling than you'll ever need, quieter intrusion into your HT when you're in the same room, better hardware protection, and one less thing to think about when trying to tweak everything else. Excellent ROI in HT/Cooling.
