I have used QC35 and I have a couple of XM3s that I use on a daily basis. While they're a little cheaper than others in a similar price-performance category (the XM4s cost about $40 more than the price of these non-sale cars), they're noticeably smaller: less bass, less noise-cancellation, less weight, less Microphone. Growth. However, not everything on this list is bad. Bass is definitely lacking, but other than that I like the rest of the parts. The XM3s sometimes give me a headache because of the pressure they exert inside the noise-canceling cups, which they don't. Also, the fact that they are lightweight is an obvious plus. They're a bit more compact than the XM3 (closer to the size of the QC35) but still fit nicely on my head. The XM3's microphone is virtually useless as it picks up every sound. Did my cat throw something off the counter below? Does my chair creak? The sigh I let out when I'm fed up with someone? When I call you with my XM3s you hear everything. I haven't used them as a headset though, so I don't need to concern myself with that. Noise is not as sensitive, but the voice is still clear. I also like that they charge with a USB-C cable. There's no excuse to use a micro/mini these days (look at you, Bose). As they're so close in price I wouldn't sell them over the XM4, but for those who've never had high-end ANC headphones, it's a lot better than using headphones and they're pretty comfortable.
