Oh my god! Thank you to this product for saving my dry hair, dry skin and relationships! So I live with my boyfriend at his house in a very hard water area. Most people here have reverse osmosis, replacement tanks, or whole house water filtration. This is such bad water. I asked him to install a whole house filtration system but he didn't want one in his house. He says the water is fine and he doesn't care. (Though he's tried four different cleaners on the powder room's glass shower door after his boys have been here for three months trying to remove water stains. And the water here is fine. hmmm) He wouldn't do it. also replacement tanks. So now I either decide to take a shower myself (I buy ice and mineral water, he uses the tap and nasty frozen ice) or I move out. Who knew shitty water could end a relationship! But that's how much I hate it. After checking my options, I finally found out that they make shower filters. DING DING! I was so excited. This device has consistently popped up in the top ten in my research, mostly in the top 5 and above. When he arrived I asked him if I could put him in the shower. He said no. I asked if I could put it in the guest shower. He said yes! I installed it myself, everything is very simple and fast, less than 10 minutes. When I used it the next morning I couldn't believe the difference! My hair is much softer and no longer dry, my skin is softer, I don't need shower lotion or extra strength lotion after showering. I love it so much I told my boyfriend he can't use it. I want the filter to last as long as possible. This is just for me! Pros: It doesn't alter the water pressure in any way. It is very easy and quick to install. It definitely changes the water and makes it softer. Cons: You can't move the shower head. Wherever it's sprayed, that's what you get. I'd like to point mine down a bit, but that's not a deal breaker for me. I didn't know at the time they made one with a wand. Some people may like this model better. (This option would also be better for my dog)
