Given the price I wasn't expecting great quality and I would say it met my expectations. They require a lot of honing to remove burrs and make them nice and sharp. So plan to buy a pair of sharpening cones. 3/4" is so large that most sharpening cones are undersized. Lee Valley sells a set of large cones designed for high quality, Japanese-made gouges, so I'm not sure if they match the angle of those chisels , but I'm ordering and will try to update this review when I get it and when I drill the mortise holes after sharpening.
