You will always need an extra ball head
This is not the most expensive ball head with lots of features, but it will surely help me solve some troublesome situations. Don't expect to use it with the heaviest gear either, it's tiny and can barely handle a single DSLR. However, it does the job I need and keeps my camera in place.
