Review on πŸ”₯ Copper Heatsink C7 Cu by CRYORIG by John Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice update of the original Cryorig C7 in Dan A4 case

not happy). I knew that Cryorig reported a 15% increase in performance in the Cu version over the Alu version. Because the side panel is so close to the C7 fan assembly, there is a known turbulence issue that I solved by replacing the drain. Fan with slim 92mm Noctua fan. It was easy to attach the 3D printed fan adapter to the heatsink, I also used paperclips to attach the C7 as a temporary fix with no issues. I got 1-2 degrees Celsius improvement in idle mode and 6 degrees Celsius full load on all cores on a stick 7700k. Both tests were performed in the same environment/room temperature. Yes, this cooler is more expensive because it is made entirely of copper. Is the performance worth the additional investment compared to the aluminum version? For me the resulting performance is worth the extra investment and I am very happy with my purchase. YMMV depending on budget. My advice to potential buyers is to read the reviews and make an informed decision. I've read some reviews and am sure that as the product becomes more available, more hardware reviewers will be posting their benchmarks.
