This works fine with my iPad. The package includes a micro USB charging cable. It quickly connected to my iPad via Bluetooth. The blue function keys above the number can be operated by pressing the control key (not the "Fn" function key). The back of the keyboard has a metal plate (see photo) that allows it to magnetically attach to iPad cases that have magnets to hold the keyboard in place. I found it very helpful. Battery life was probably good since the buttons aren't backlit. This makes it difficult to use in the dark, but otherwise works wonderfully.
