Had high hopes after reading some positive reviews - but it's nonsense, doesn't work and almost meets expectations and was sent back Software Transcend has Problems recognizing the device. After 10 attempts to just back up the files, I gave up because I got a "Backup Failed" error about 1/3 of the way through each time. Tried different files and folders but failed to back up every time. Lost several hours in vain. Instructions, website and documentation p. A simple backup device in 2017 shouldn't be something like reinventing the wheel. The device might be solid as advertised, but if it's a hockey puck or a $100 brick, who cares. Two thumbs down. I know the quality of hard drives has dropped precipitously in recent years because cheap manufacturing is at the top of manufacturers' lists, but the wasted time is more frustrating than the poor quality of the information we are selling that we need to use and trust our valuable data.
