Bought this apron to protect clothes from oil splashes in the kitchen. It's made of medium-thick cotton canvas that's soft enough to wear but durable. I also chose this apron because it doesn't tie around the neck; Instead it goes over your shoulders and crosses behind your back and then goes through simple buckles on each side. You simply adjust the straps to the length you want, and when you close the loops they hold up well enough to hold your size. When ready to dress, slip your head through the top of the cross and your arms through the sides, then tie the remaining length behind your back or in front. I'm a fat girl (I wear the largest regular size clothes and the smallest plus size clothes) and I tend to tie them in a bow in the back, but the ties are long enough to roll and tie in the back the back. simple knot.
