We bought this for summer trips with our son who has special needs. So far this has worked great. I don't know why we were under the impression that the bandana was soft and flexible - it isn't, which was a little disappointing. However, we were able to fit him with a wheelchair headrest and shoulder straps to hold him in the way that suits him. It helps him a lot to be comfortable when we go for a walk on warm evenings.
