I only ordered this because a scheduled surgery would not allow me to wrap a 3 inch velcro on my expensive carbon fiber AFO around my lower leg until the incision has healed. I am very positively surprised that it works very well! It is well made and durable. Being able to change the position of the cord that attaches to your shoe really makes a difference in buoyancy. This is quite comfortable, depending on how tightly you pull the bandage over the ankle and cord. I really like that I can trade when my other AFO is too worn out. I don't think it offers the lateral support that a traditional AFO does, but it doesn't claim to do so. He does what he says - lift your foot so you are careful with the goal and stand up straight when you leave, your foot must be clean.
