I needed something to strap to my shoes at a reasonable price and this pedometer fits perfectly. I figured I would have to buy two of these - one for hiking boots and one for hiking boots because of the awkwardness of removing them from one set of shoes to put on another. But my husband had the perfect solution. Instead of threading the laces through the side slits, I thread an extra lace through the slits on the pedometer and tie the pedometer to my ankle. It stays in place and accurately records my steps. The best thing is that now I can take off my shoes, put on my slippers and still watch my steps.
