Considering I bought the pad on sale for $40, that's not too bad. I would not use the tent in rainy weather, it is very thin and not covered with rain covers all around. In no case will it fit 5 males unless they are over 5ft tall. The zipper on the door broke just by opening it after the first installation. The 40L backpack is good for short day trips, I wouldn't trust it to hold much weight and all the zippers are lightweight plastic which is a big issue compared to other backpacks. a 20 degree mummy bag looks reassuring. We'll try it in the mountains in a few weeks. lightning is already concerned, because it has already figured it out.
