This works very well, this is our 4th time using it! A few tips for you, especially since the instructions leave a lot to be desired. 1) WASH THE SHIRT FIRST Forgot to wash the shirt. When first used, the shirts are still hanging there after two years and several washes. The next two times we forgot to wash the shirts, the irons looked great but were a bit worn. 2) DO NOT REVERSE PRINT, THIS IS NOT IRONING ON TRANSFER! MORE THINK ABOUT THE IRON ON THE PATCH! Meaning: What you print out, you will see EXACTLY on your shirt. The ink will not transfer to the shirt. If you're not sure what that means, you know those little baby toy tattoos that you peel off, apply to skin, and then place a wet sponge on the back of the tattoo to "flow" the ink onto the skin (and he does it in reverse as you can see). This is a transfer. It's more like an iron on a patch, but instead of a patch, it's what you print onto the printer sheet. 3) REMOVE THE PAD FIRST! Because the "iron-on patch" sticks to the surface it's on. If you don't tear off the backing, your print will be permanently stuck to the backing. You want, that it is glued to your shirt. Luckily there are lots of pieces on the back of the sheet, not one big piece, so when translating I was able to cut out the heart shape and still clean it up with relative ease. 4) Use a white sheet inserted between the iron and the plate. I think otherwise you can discolor your shirt with all the heat from the iron. 5) 3 minutes, not hard pressure, repeatedly stroking over the entire printed area, especially around the edges. I haven't used anything close to high pressure, I think it may stain your fabric as well. Just light enough steady pressure for 3 minutes without staying in one spot for too long, over and over and over again. 6) Allow the surface to cool slightly after each ironing. Above all, because otherwise the next shirt will get hot when you take it off. and it waits and you don't want your iron to accidentally hit the pressure plate, heat seal a little,
