I bought the gray version with a ponytail and it didn't have the weird smells mentioned in other reviews. I have waist-length hair and was looking for something I could pull it through and still wear a bun - this hat does the trick. Another review mentioned that it's too big and hangs over the ears. At first I thought the same, but when you tighten the hat it adjusts and sits behind the ears.
