Material stretches enough to be tucked in and rolled up to eliminate baggy areas. It doesn't fold or unfold when you sit on it, which is amazing. My biggest problem is that the color doesn't match the photo. It's more of a bright red than a burgundy, so it doesn't go well with my other furniture. One more thing - I wouldn't recommend this cover unless you have a chair with a backrest against the wall. The front looks great, but the back is a baggy mess. If it holds up I might consider getting a matching sofa cover (it's on the wall too). Edited to add that I saw the couch with this slipcover (black) in my apartment building's dumpster so I could quickly see how it would hold up. Looked ok in terms of wear but had tiny lint and pet hair on it so maybe not for you if you have pets.
