The skirt is so pretty. I like to wear it to work and always get compliments. The waist is elastic and also has a tie. Elastic at waist - durable elastic. So it stretches but also puts a little pressure on the waist. I don't mind it at all, but if you like a very loose and flowy skirt, then this might not be it. The only thing I can say is the lining which is a bit odd. Under the skirt is a knee-length lining. There's nothing I can do (except iron) to keep the butt from wrinkling. I just gave up but the good thing is that once the outer layer is on you really don't notice. What worries me is that I know it's wrinkled. No one else can say anything.
