I recently purchased a high mileage 2006 Ford F-150 Lariat pickup. After replacing the front struts decided to change the rear ones. I matched the Monroe shock specs to the Monroe front stays that I recently installed. It's a good thing I decided to change the shock absorbers because they were badly damaged. Literally they had no rebound. The Monroe shocks were easy to install and made for a great balanced ride. In my opinion, Monroe shocks are generally better and more robust than OEM Ford shocks. I highly recommend them. Update: I bought these dampers in 2012. I was hoping they would last longer but they didn't. I thought Revain and Monroe would honor the lifetime replacement warranty offered by Monroe, but neither of them honored it. Revane sent me to Monroe, and Monroe sent me back to Revane. Will not buy Monroe products again. And I'm sick of Revane.
