Review on KICKER CompR Subwoofers Vented Compliant by Bronson Hussain

Kicker for the Win🏆

From the twin aft Comp RT series to these powerful 10 twins. Significant difference, my setup includes all the kickers, 4 6 1/2 in door speakers, a 1320w kicker 5 channel amp and as mentioned two 8 Comp RT subwoofers. I recommend using a 5 channel amplifier when using the door speakers and subwoofer on the same amplifier (for those new to car audio tech). I have a 2011 VW Golf TDI and bought the Dual 8 because I was concerned about the uncomfortable amount of bass in a small area as the Golf is a small hatch, but after 5 months I realized it wasn't is enough for me. These 10s are HEAVY, weighing exactly 67 pounds, so take care when assembling and installing. The kicker has always stood out for its quality, the case is very well made and has a nice felt material covering the box. I currently have the gain set at about three quarters to half and that's all you need for that. Don't push it more than halfway, it will distort and potentially blow up those subs. I pushed it a little and it can handle itself, but it started to distort almost halfway through when it was boosted, and my volume was at 21 on my head unit, which is pretty high for listening volume. Bass quality is terrible, very clean, punchy and not muddy at all. I listen to metal and only metal 🤘, you can get by with any kind of music and get clean great bass. These bad boys changed my listening experience and now I have a gig in my Golf and I LOVE IT. I've included Comp RT photos of the Twin 8s in my trunk so you can see the size comparison between the 2s. The Twin 10s are obviously a lot bigger than the Twin 8s, but I wanted to show the boot space you have left. It's in a small hatchback like the Golf. I would highly recommend them, you can't go wrong with Kicker. Kicker is one of the leading brands in the car audio industry and their quality lives up to their reputation. So if you're hesitating, don't hesitate because once you've got them installed and set up properly, these 10 will shake your heart, I promise 🤘.
