So far I've been using it with Ronin-SC for a week in Maldives. The results are better than I expected. There is virtually no vertical rocking, although there is an occasional but barely noticeable micro-jitter from the Ronin-SC when in use. However, I can't say for sure that without this product, Ronin wouldn't have those micro-jitters. And if I gently tilt the Ronin-SC without that z-axis, I get minimal vertical wobble as well. But it becomes too unwieldy to hold Ronin without it. The two-hand grip offers more comfort for long shots. I adjusted the tension on both arms using a hook luggage scale measuring in 5g increments to balance the tension to 1.55kg on both arms at 90 degrees and about 2.1kg at 45 degrees. This seemed to give good results and I was able to tweak it further. All in all the whole setup of Sony A6000, Sigma 16mm 450g lens, Ronin SC and this Z-axis weighs 3.05kg. I'm happy with the product and the results, it's well built and very wearable. It's actually easier to carry my rig with one hand than just using it with the Ronin. You can also change the direction of the handle to be up, towards you, or down. I found it to work comfortably. Now I take it with me when I travel.
