Deflating Experience

I bought this despite reading less than stellar reviews and the experience was overdone, but all is not lost. My 11 lb cat was horrible with the plastic cone so this looked like a perfect alternative. At first, the veins in both my eyes almost ruptured trying to blow this thing up. The valve needs to be loosened by pressing on a cotton swab or something blunt to bend it to allow air to enter. Ok it's done, I applied it to the cat and she was a lot happier but after about 15 minutes. (he slept next to me) I noticed that the object was beginning to drain. So they sent me either a new defective one or a used defective one. I didn't want to waste time returning the item so I removed the useless inflated frame and found some filler in an old pillow and stuffed it into the cover mold. I added a piece of paper towel to cover the valve hole to keep the fibers from escaping. It's not as light as the inflatable version, but still better than the plastic cone when it comes to comfort. Note: My cat can run away from him, but he doesn't try that hard. Also, it is not an ideal solution for healing leg wounds. My cat, who is nimble like all cats, can almost reach the collar for a good lick from behind. It would be great for other areas of wound healing.
