For example, will NOT work with M1 Macbook Air. General. NOT worth it, just waste of money.

I won't go into too much detail and just list why this product is terrible - 5 Gbps is NOT lightning, in fact it's hardly USB-C. "Very, very poor quality connections. Everything on mine had to be pushed quite hard to connect and pulled even harder to disconnect. The MicroSD card sat squinting in the slot and was never recognized. Eventually I gave up and put it in my USB SD card reader and then plugged it into the USB port and it was recognized immediately (SD card reader doesn't work, at least not with a U3 4K SD card). I immediately noticed that the resolution was not at all what I expected when I bought the 4k hub separately. The point is that it's not just about the number of pixels supported. There is a quality factor. This thing couldn't even compete with a 1080 resolution, you can expect a pretty sharp 720 kind of rendering. - 30Hz (?) Didn't even know it existed anymore (probably why my SD card wasn't working) - 5 GBPS is half the market speed for these things. and it shows. Both in frames per second and in the use of ports for peripheral devices. My USB keyboard/trackpad (about 5 years ago, it's not new, cutting edge stuff) wouldn't work with my Mac. The delay was literally about 10 seconds. one Mississippi, two Mississippi. Yes. Imagine trying to use a trackpad with such a delay. Even if you just need to connect your TV to your USBC device, I wouldn't buy this device. It should just be an SD card reader, USBC to HDMI cable or USBC to USB adapter. Instead of doing one thing acceptably well at a reasonable price, this thing tries to be an $10, $80 Anker adapter and fails in every way. I'm not even trying to use the Samsung in Dex mode, I've already plugged the USB keyboard back into the TV. And it's not worth the trouble. I've been wanting to try Dex for over a month now. THAT was the experience. DO NOT BUY THIS.
