Bought to replace my existing diaphragm which is about 2.2 years old. I don't need this as I get TDS readings of 0 through my DI resin and 6 straight out of the RO, but I decided to do it all at once. When I received it I noticed that the membrane looked different than the previous version I ordered (Dow photo - old membrane / Dupont - new). I know they split the company, so that's how it is. However, when I inspected the replacement membrane, the folds had large holes at the end and were not done properly as they should look compared to the old one (as seen in the pictures). I ended up installing it thinking it might be ok - boy was wrong. After flushing for only 2 hours I took a TDS reading from my DI and it was 29! Hmm... that should be 0. RO's TDS was so high that it overwhelmed my DI carrier. Pretty sure it was defective. There seems to be a lot of feedback lately about them being faulty which is a shame because over the 15 years I've been using them the quality has been superb. UPDATE: Got a replacement and installed - works much better as it should. I hope this one lasts as long as its predecessors.
