So they fit my VERY VERY old FD-50. than my original trays. It does NOT have a notched center core like the original and old replacement shells; The downside to this is that they made the trays so that they were CURVED in the middle, which I think is to prevent what you're dehydrating from rolling through the center tray's opening. So if you try to make fruit bowls, dry larger fruits (like strawberries, berries, cherries, etc.), etc., they will curl back towards the outer edges of the bowls and bunch up, preventing proper drying. They just left the center like the ORIGINAL DESIGN, rolling will not be a problem. sigh. something to save pennies on the plastic (I assume that was the reason for the design change)?!-------------------- -Overall Verdict: Are they Trays suitable for drying herbs, flowers etc.? YES, they go with these things. Are the trays suitable for things like sliced foods that don't curl like apple slices etc.? Yes, apples, pears, peaches, etc. work fine BUT something smaller like bananas is a HUGE PROBLEM unless you use plastic strainers to easily remove them. crumbled slices of food, cuts under your nails if you're like me and trying to remove them gets you so crashed you use your nails without realizing how SHARP banana slices can be. Yes, I am KLUTZ. Can I recommend these trays if you're like me and don't have the money to replace your old dehydrator? I would say YES, but only IF you know that you may have problems with fruit etc rotating and that the making of the fruit peel will result in the middle part being THINNER than the OUTER rim as the peels tend to the outer ones TILING edges also means the drying time has to be LONGER as the outside edges are THICKER and this can result in the INSIDE edges being TOO DRY depending on how thick you make them overall. No matter how thick you make them, they still need an UNEVEN drying time to dry FULLY AND EVENLY. Making them thinner will take less time, but it also means a thinner fruit bun and less product at the end, so BEWARE! If you only use yours to dry herbs, flower heads, etc. Don't roll, you probably won't have any problems. Overall I'm giving it 1 star because I think the trays need to be redesigned AGAIN to bring back the center stem. You do not have to use the product in any other way, e.g. B. Thinner fruit rolls resulting in uneven drying problems, less product, etc. Just use the "NEW" designed product. This is doable for leaves, flowers, etc., but I think this product is for fruit buns, jerky, etc., and it shouldn't require any extra effort from the user to make their product work properly like it used to. In my opinion this is a DEFECT and ANOTHER WORKOVER is needed. I am forced to keep using mine until I can afford to replace my 20 year old dehydrator. I still have a few of the original bowls left, as well as a few "replacement" bowls from the old models that didn't really have a raised center so I can still get fruit bowls on them, but the new ones NOT THAT MUCH!
