So after buying two of these Torpedo Spirit Levels and using them daily in the plumbing trade I decided to buy a third one for a colleague. I bought the first one for myself, the second one for my boss who liked mine. The light works great. I can't believe how handy this is. I always seem to be wandering around in dark basements. Anyway, we both use them every day and both have reset them multiple times. Both still work and so far none of the magnets have fallen out. I've had mine for about 6 months and I use it every day five or six days a week. Other people say the magnets fall out. That may be true, it's an inexpensive spirit level and made in China. So far I haven't had any problems with magnets or level lighting. Also, someone complained about accidentally turning on the light and draining the batteries. The fuel gauge will stay low for about 30 seconds and then turn off. I didn't have any problems with it, but the batteries that came with it didn't last very long. At this price no problem to complain about. The AAA batteries are easy to swap out and the Energizer batteries last a long time with frequent use of the light mode. All around a large small plain. I wouldn't buy the third if I had problems with the first two. The magnets are strong too. Others have complained about it. The only other level I've seen with a stronger magnetic handle was a Lenox level, which I've used and loved for years, but the 45° level broke after falling off an extension ladder. As far as I know they don't make this level anymore which is what led me to this one.
