I use it as an additional tank for drinking water in our camper. The water still tastes good after a few days - no plastic taste. When I'm done with them I leave the lid open to let them dry, which is a little tricky as they want to fall apart. So I see that mold can form in them in the future and there is no way to clean it (but that hasn't happened yet). The grips are ok, could be a bit bigger for a big hand but doable. I'm glad I bought the 1.2 gallon containers because they are quite heavy when you lift them. Anything else would be too difficult.
