Best value for money

Definitely the sturdiest boots I've ever had. I had an old Alpinestar Tech 2 from the 90's and some Fox boots. (Never high end) I think you get what you pay for when it comes to boots but I've been running in these for the last 2 days and I can already feel some "jumping" in the boot. I always tarnish my boots before riding and this is the secret sauce for cheap hard boots. There's a great video on YouTube on how to break in your dirt bike boots. He does it a lot like me, but I also walk my dog around the block a few times and carry them around the house in between. It's like a baseball glove, if you shell out softer leather than that it's not as hard work, but for us curmudgeons we have to work. Solid boots, well cut, faux leather but well cut soles. I intend to drive them into the pins and this will help the most with break-in, but for those of you in doubt, take my advice to break them. The Rocky Mountain ATV/MX has a $100 pair that I was very close to. bought the ARC brand they looked good, but the O'Neals just supplanted them with a better sole and shin guard. I ride riverbeds a lot and I've broken enough toes to know I need protection BUT if you just ride MX trails or desert they might be a better option.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
