This item is a safety hazard. It works great as a protective mask, but nothing more. The headgear that comes with it is junk. Headgear on my old hood, and even then this hood is so heavy it barely holds up. But what makes this thing really dangerous is that it runs on battery. I put a fresh new battery in this thing at 4am. The battery level indicator was on until 7am. I had to crank the settings to the maximum so the screen got a little dimmer. And even then, he darkened more from the sparks of the grinder than from the welding. Worth the money.
