After my plug-in dock crashed my new laptop a few times when I tried to wake it up, I thought it was best, something different to try. Plugable used to take 5-10 seconds to wake up the computer and all monitors with Windows Sound for each connected device, but this takes up to 2 seconds. It only makes one sound to wake up the computer and all devices become available automatically. This is about 75% faster than the connected one and my internet speed is about 40% faster than before with the connected one. I doubted it because it doesn't have DVI and VGA ports, but I can still plug in 5 monitors and am now waiting for a USB 3-VGA adapter to add an additional monitor. Like all universal docking stations, this one will not charge your laptop, so you will need to plug it into a power source. Power outlet. I wish there was a way to connect my work and personal laptops at the same time so I could switch between laptops with the push of a button. Now I always have to unplug one laptop to plug in another. No docking station seems to be able to do that yet. One problem I've found so far is that I can't use DP and HDMI at the same time. When I connect to DP I lose the HDMI connected screens. I don't care since I only have HDMI connections. Only 2 monitors can display 2560 x 1440 resolution and each additional monitor will display 1920 x 1080.
