Solid multimedia sub, under the movie - that's it. For music, it's mediocre, because the manufacturer was too clever with DSP and digital filtering: at the minimum volume level, the sub does not reproduce quiet sounds. Let me explain: we give the maximum volume from the sound source (+0 db) and set the volume control on the subwoofer to medium volume - we get very loud any bass notes (within the cutoff frequency). Now we set the minimum volume with a twist on the subwoofer and we hear loud sounds quieter, but quiet ones - not at all. The sub does not even try to reproduce them, because they are weak, cut off by a digital filter to zero. Quiet sounds are "cut off" by the subwoofer much earlier than they go below the threshold of audibility, and this results in an unpleasant gap in the music between loud and quiet taking of the same note.
