Review on Kettle Xiaomi Qcooker Kettle, with temperature sensor CN, green by Dagmara Orzechowska ᠌

Best price for this product, will buy more!

Most importantly, this kettle is made in China and for the Chinese market. All labels and instructions are in Chinese. However, this is not a big problem, since this is an ordinary kettle without any newfangled "tricks" such as connecting via Bluetooth, etc. So there is nothing special to read in the instructions - you will not find anything new there, the usual instructions for an electric kettle. The curious, like me, can use a smartphone and Google translate to read the usual use and care instructions: rinse and boil twice before first use; do not boil eggs, noodles and seaweed in a kettle (either the dish is Chinese or the translation is not entirely correct); how to get rid of limescale. Another feature of the Chinese kettle is more problematic - a non-standard electrical plug. The simplest solution is to use an adapter. However, cheap adapters have poor contacts; during operation, they begin to heat up and melt. It's close to the fire here. A more radical solution is to replace the cord. However, I was lucky and the seller put a good adapter, with good contacts. Another feature (or even disadvantage for some) is the lack of a measuring window. However, this "shortcoming" is the reverse side of its dignity - a completely metal case without any plastic parts. You can find out how much water is in the kettle by opening the lid and looking at the level, which has two marks with hieroglyphs. And without knowledge of Chinese, it is easy to guess that they mean the minimum and maximum water levels. The heating rate of the kettle is not a record one, but it does not matter to me. As well as its noise, which for the most part depends on the water. This is the third kettle with a thermometer in a year that I buy. The first was Kitfort, but after a month the lid broke and rust spots appeared. The second Russell Hobbs - rusted after six months. Both returned to the sellers. Hope you have better luck this time :-)

Pros
  • - Thermometer - "Normal" cover without buttons and keys - The interior is completely made of stainless steel - Retro design
Cons
  • For me, there are no shortcomings, but everyone who wants to purchase this model of the kettle should take into account and accept some of its features.

Has some pros Color and shape in a retro style, the presence of a temperature sensor. It's nice that the lid is completely removable. Has cons: A short cord, an adapter is needed for the plug - this is especially strange. The case heats up - you need to make sure that the kettle is in a place inaccessible to kids and animals.
