I ordered this can opener to replace a desktop electric can opener that I wanted to replace with something that wouldn't take up countertop space. I saw the reviews on the video and was blown away and although I was a bit skeptical that it would work that well I gave it a try anyway. I refuse instructions with the package so I was kinda alone to figure it out and I can't say that even putting the batteries in was very easy but all I had to do was read the bottom of the device , where it says. how and where to click to remove the case and add batteries. I also found out that to adjust the position of the blade there is a screw at the bottom that allows you to do this. If you find that your can opener isn't sticking or getting stuck, try this. When hanging, there is a button at the top of the handle that allows you to change the direction of the blade and push the can opener out of the can. I'm pretty sure that when I was trying to figure out how to remove the case I changed some settings and that's why I had problems at first. The first day was a bit difficult, but once we got through it, everything went smoothly! I'm just not mentioning these details as a negative, but as a guide for anyone facing the same issues as me because it's worth working through all of this at the beginning. Now I just stick a can opener in the device and watch it work!
