This is a great little bookcase, especially for the price. It's packaged very well, fairly easy to assemble and it's a real tree. I assembled it in about 15 minutes. The instructions are mostly pictures, but parts of it are arranged in such a way that it is difficult to assemble incorrectly. I think you could turn the shelves upside down if you're not careful; they are only machined on one side. Therefore, some attention is required. I also didn't notice that all the screws are hidden. There are four screws on each end that attach the two bottom shelves and they have small wooden plugs for the screw holes. And the top attaches from below, so those screws are hidden as well. Oh, and the Allen key needed to attach the screws is included. On the other hand, there were a few minor scratches on my upper. But the furniture in this house looks like it gets scratched and dented pretty easily anyway, so I won't worry about that. (The scratches in this case mean the lighter wood shows through the stain, so I use a brown marker or something similar to darken it again.) It's not "nice furniture," but it's a surprisingly good price - money. .
