I bought two to replace Bargman L300 latches on a 1989 Gore horse trailer. For my application, I had to enlarge the door cutout on the front about 1/2 inch wider to accommodate the new set of latches. This was easy to do with the Rockwell Oscillation Tool. Another adjustment I had to make to the trailer to work with this replacement door latch was to drill a new hole in the door under the bottom latch pin so the deadbolt could be used. The screws on the side of the door edge on the new latches fit snugly with no alterations and the rosettes are slightly larger than the original Bargmans so they close everything clean and look factory installed. The replacement lock came with a new door frame lock that was replaced with the original. These door latches are strong, lighter, and safer to grab and hold the door than the original L300s I pulled out. Before I got the bars I thought they seemed expensive, although they were more affordable than old Bargman L300s that were over $200 a piece on eBay when I could find them. It was hard to tell from the pictures if these replacement parts had a lot of plastic components or thin metal. After delivery, inspection and installation I found them to be of good quality, sturdy, well finished and I think the price paid was reasonable. Overall I am very happy with the product and would recommend it as a replacement for the L300.
