I use a lot of Lightning cables. I don't think I'm particularly rough on them, but they seem to wear out quite often. Whether they're original white Apple cables or a third-party cable, they don't seem to last long. I'm a big Apple user with Lightning connectors on my iPhone, iPad and Apple TV remote. When SmallEle4ctric offered me some 10ft cables to review, I agreed but wasn't expecting anything special. Until I open the package. These cables have a distinctive premium look. The braided cable is much heavier than Apple's standard cables, making them feel more durable. Despite the thicker cord, they are quite flexible and easy to work with. More importantly, a durable rubber bumper is attached to each end, which is designed to prevent the common problems with connector loosening that typically occur with OEM cables over time. While I'm more interested in how these cables perform than how they look, there's no denying that these cables just look professional. Heavy braided cables, rubber grommets and red anodized connectors look like you'd find them in a high-end recording studio or on the set of a big-budget Hollywood movie. It is important to me that these cables are Apple compliant. MFI certification. Apple has announced that cables without MFi certification can be harmful to iPhones and iPads. My devices are important to me therefore I will not use cables without MFi certification. These cables are certified and I feel safe using them. I am very satisfied with these cables and would recommend them at any time. The ten foot length is a bonus and I will be using one of these in a car where a longer cord would be greatly appreciated. Of course, what I can't judge in the short term is the overall durability. These cables feel very strong and well built and I expect them to hold up well. However, until I have had the opportunity to use these cables for months or years, I cannot say how reliable they will be. I will update this review over time. For now, however, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for a durable and long Lightning cable. where a longer cable would be very valuable.
