I've had bad luck with charging cords, whether my cats nibble on them because I didn't leave them visible, or they just stopped working properly and either didn't charge at all or were erratic. My teenage daughter also has an iPhone so there were times when the only working cable was used. Problem solved! They work without any nasty incompatibility messages, they seem to be very durable, I like having different lengths so I can have an extra cable for example when I'm reading on my iPad in bed and now my daughter can do one and one too have backup.
