This was the cheapest 144Hz monitor I could find and after a bit of fiddling with the settings (thanks fellow Revain commenters) and turning down the intense factory brightness, it works as advertised. The only part I had trouble getting any sound out of this thing without external speakers. If I'm just missing something, it's due to the confusing and useless setup guide and lack of instructions on that front. I finally gave up and just hooked up some cheap speakers to the audio port and used them for audio. because it is undesirable to put the screen to sleep, because it is difficult to wait for it to turn off and on again, and also because the screen power button does not turn off the monitor if that screen is still on. This makes you have to wait a bit if you want to turn off the flashing blue power light at night or something like that every time you stop using the monitor. not a big problem, but a bit annoying. Overall this seems like a pretty decent choice for the price, but be aware that you'll likely need to pair this with some sort of audio device.
