Review on Shark AZ1002 Self Cleaning Brushroll Upholstery by Mike Diaz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

SO disappointing but great suction power.

This is the second Shark Apex I've bought (the first was the green version, not a Zero-M) and now I'm having the exact same problem as the first. They are very easy to assemble and I love how heavy they are (because some vacuums feel cheap). . All of this behaves as if it were disconnected from the network and just goes out. When I first got the vacuum, I thought there wasn't enough cord connected to the side of the vacuum. I took it back to Lowes and decided to order from Revain (faster shipping). I've had it for about two weeks and I can't even walk down the hallway of my house (not a huge room) without it turning off. I called CS for the first one and they wanted me to pay them $20 for a new cord - I paid over $300 for this vacuum and haven't used it in over a couple of weeks. I will NEVER pay them another $20 for shipping. He also mentioned that the engine will automatically shut off when it gets hot. I don't know if that's happening here, but if I was vacuuming huge rooms or for long periods of time, I would understand. I just turned my vacuum on for 5 minutes to clean my tiny hallway and couldn't even make it all the way before it started turning off. So now I have to return this vacuum to Revain - and while I love the amazing suction power it has - it's not worth the hassle of buying another. I'm very disappointed because a lot of people have told me that Shark is better than Dyson. =/ Guess I'll have to find out for myself!
