No. Unfortunately, it just doesn't. I really, really wanted to love this blanket. I read the reviews and decide to buy based on the positive number (and choose to ignore a fair amount of the negative). Straight out of the box - no bad smells other reviewers have listed. Chemical smell, sure, but not bad. Good sign. The ceiling looked beautiful. Good sign number two. At this point my cat jumped up to check with me. She rubbed and kneaded once and immediately pulled out a large ball of fluff. Oh oh bad sign. It wasn't an aggressive mix. I hesitated to wash it for fear it would ruin it, but at the manufacturer's suggestion I went ahead. and that was the end of a beautiful blanket. For the record, I used a front-loading, delicate-cycle washing machine (I would never recommend putting it in a top-loading agitator), but it just couldn't handle it. So much fluff came out that weaving lines are now visible. I'm so sad. Since I read in other reviews that the fluff comes off after a few washes, I tried two more very gentle washes. No no no. This sad ceiling spills and spills. I really can't use it because of the spillage. Now I have tons of fibers and clumps of fluff all over the house. On the plus side, it only gives Kitty the chance to play. Sigh. Nobody wanted to love it more. but no, i just can't.
