Have been using this hair dryer for about a month. I bought it thinking it was 2000 watts but the hair dryer says 1800 watts. This is a normal hair dryer. There's a fan (not bladeless like the Dyson) and a front and rear grille. However, it seems very powerful and does the job well; my hair seems healthier in just a month. What I like best is that it doesn't get very hot. There are 2 temperature settings: one for heat, the other for air only. The temperature is comparable to the middle setting of my old hair dryer. The cold/air function actually blows cold air unlike any other dryer I've used. It may not suit everyone, but it does a great job on my very long hair.
