Review on DECYOOL 8 Rolls 300 Yards Metallic Glitter Fabric Organza Christmas Ribbons – Ideal for Gift Wrapping & Holiday Decorations by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best value for money Wide organza ribbon in Christmas colours.

(January 2020) $13 for eight rolls, about 50 yards (red, green) and about 25 yards (silver, gold), this is by far the best deal on this 4/5 inch wide unit . organza ribbon. I knew I wanted all four "Christmas" colors and carefully researched options for seemingly equivalent ribbons. This brand offers a roll of red and green for $6, another great price, but I couldn't get all four colors together (150 yards total) for less than the price of this 300 yard "double pack". I'm willing to spend a little more for nice packaging without going extravagant; that fits the bill and will last me several seasons. I don't usually like to overbuy and store the extra forever just to get the best unit price, but I could give my sister double rolls and keep the rest compact for year-round use. not too uncomfortable to work. The 4/5" diameter was wide enough to look good on large boxes (13" x 7" x 7" as shown in the photos) but could still be used on smaller ring boxes without looking bulky . The band slips a bit when I try to tighten the loop knot just enough to hold it and I tug the loop loops back and forth a few times to get it in place, but that's normal with any wide band. and I found this tape to be easy to work with. One of the great features is that the four colors are not wrapped around a long center tube/core. Conventional core multi-rolls become messy and awkward during a wrapping session when more than one color has a loose end; Eventually, they inevitably leave behind an empty, bulky core for your unloved band. I only bought this because it was eight individual rolls which was easier to manage, share and store. The shorter silver and gold ribbons were threaded through the end of the ribbon and into the Styrofoam core with straight needles (like those used to hem pants) - an elegant, easy-to-use system that won't damage the ribbon as it's a free-woven organza . The 50 yard rolls were too wide for a straight pin to reach the core and were held in place with a long piece of tape, running from the core up and over the end of the tape and up the other side to the core. This is more fiddly, and the tape peeled off the styrofoam a bit so you may need to replace the tape once or twice if you use the tape slowly. I also hope that the tape will not leave a sticky residue on the edges of the tape when stored for a long time. Although the organza ribbon is thin/transparent, I have found that these ribbons add a lot of depth to the color (see photo). Both silver and gold shone amazingly, as expected.
