Purchased in July 2018. Now four months later the ball has an irreparable leak along the tear. These cracks are visible around the sphere. The ball was used relatively little by the 6 year old grandson who bounced it off the concrete. It was never left out among the elements; always stored in the garage when not in use. He was also never overly pouty. I was an elementary school principal for many years and bought dozens of identical red rubber balls for the students to use on uneven pavement every day. There have never been such cracks in the skin, leaks were rare. Mikasa is a respected company, but that sucks. Do not buy.
