On the second try I went for a size 10-12 (the smaller size was tight on the waist and a little in the shirt). My skinny almost 9 year old girl really liked how soft they were on the inside and it was fine for the first 30 minutes but then they kind of shrunk as she got about 3 inches shorter and shrunk a bit in the crotch which is quite was uncomfortable.
