Seems strong enough although I haven't sat on it yet. Some people have said of other benches like this that when they sat on it they broke immediately under their weight, so be careful and choose wisely. I found it very odd that I could buy a pillow and bench separately for less than buying them together. is not a little back? Instead of black, I would have preferred a medium wood tone.
