This fan was originally purchased to fit my wife's MicroATX build as there were few fan headers on hers motherboard there. The fan is connected via Molex, so no problem. But I didn't expect what I got. This thing moves a huge amount of air and does it relatively quietly. You can hear it, but the amount of noise it adds is negligible compared to the rest of my setup. I still can't hear it as I always play with a headset. I have an XFX RX 580 in my own build that can get pretty hot when gaming, so I did an experiment: I flipped the fan intake so the air comes in from the bottom. by detaching the fan housing bracket from the plastic tabs and flipping it over as suggested by other reviews. I then mounted it directly above my graphics card so it would draw hot air from the top of the card through the PCB cover. It seemed like a better idea than mounting it from below. I was expecting a difference, but installing this fan over my card cooled it down by up to 5 degrees. Pretty significant! I am so pleased with his work that I have ordered another one. Hopefully the durability will be okay. So far I am completely stunned. *Update 12/12/19*: Still works! No change in noise level. Worth every penny. I would give more stars if I could.
