My cat can't go everywhere in a carrier. He's a cute cat, but when stuck in a pet carrier, he turns into a demon trying to get out. He really bled his teeth last time when he yanked the tailgate so hard. I thought I'd try the box because I figured he'd be calmer if he could look around. It was a miracle solution. Two completely different cats! My cat was great in this cage. He didn't even meow. It was the perfect size for him. He weighs about 9 pounds. I'm a small person and thought the box would be too heavy for me, but it worked for me too. I love that it has two doors (one on top and one on the side) so you can choose which one is more comfortable for the kitty. I have no idea why this cat is so much happier in this cage than in a carrier, but for us it made a huge difference! Highly recommended!
