The most valuable feature in my opinion is that this unit has a reset switch. So if you draw too much current the unit will turn itself off and you can reset it (really easy too much current when plugged into a microwave, dryer, dishwasher etc.). The last device I had didn't have a reset switch. The reset switch is the feature you really need. It also has a light that lets you know if the outlet is grounded. It comes with screws to attach it to an outlet if you wish. It has 12 fixed sockets going in all directions (what you see in the picture is what you get). I like to use the side connections for the permanent connections, I connect the temporary connections from the front so that I can see at a glance whether the temporary connections need to be unplugged (dishwasher, toaster, etc.). . It was very good value for money and highly recommended for kitchens with multiple outlets.
